PARAISO DE LA BONITA RESORT & THALASSO IN THE RIVIERA MAYA ASSESSES DAMAGES AFTER AREA HURRICANE AND LOOKS FORWARD TO RE-OPENING IN FIVE DIAMOND STYLE
All guests and employees are safe after hurricane Wilma ravaged the area outside of Cancun last week. Staff is hard at work getting the resort back in peak condition worthy of Five Diamond status.

Puerto Morelos, MEXICO -Nov. 1, 2005- Paraiso de la Bonita was spared extensive damage after Hurricane Wilma lashed the Yucatan Peninsula on Mexico’s Caribbean coast for nearly twenty hours last week. No structural damage to the luxurious resort occurred after strong winds and flooding caused the heavily populated tourist coastline to go without power and telephone use.

An evacuation of the property was needed to ensure the safety of Paraiso guests. General Manager Lionel Alvarez escorted guests off the pristine property to safety at a hotel outside of Merida. Several days later, owner and architect Carlos Gosselin reviewed the property to assess damages and reported damage to its dock, beachside restaurant El Chirinquito, lush gardens and infinity pool terrace only.

To ensure Paraiso de la Bonita will continue to provide Five Diamond service and a perfect vacation for all of its guests, the property will re-open January 22, 2006. With a large increase in its beach, Paraiso management is expecting to re-open in better condition than before the storm hit and will also use this time to make enhancements within the property. According to Mr. Alvarez, “Since we are the only Five-Diamond resort in the Riviera Maya, we will not jeopardize the quality of the vacation our clients expect and the level of service we are known for; we will take the necessary time to guarantee our resort is fully-operational. Despite being visited by Hurricane Wilma we intend to re-open our doors January 22 better than ever”.
